ALEXIS DORNIER
Born in 1981 in Germany, Alexis Dornier comes from a family of artists, engineers, and entrepreneurs. He pursued his passion for architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts. He moved to New York City in 2004 and gained experience through internships at firms like Asymptote Architecture, OMA-NY, and Rex until 2007.
In 2013, Alexis left Berlin for Bali, marking a period of creativity and innovation. Initially consulting on local projects, he began leading his architectural designs. This move helped him expand his influence across the Indonesian Archipelago and beyond.
In 2024, Alexis will rebrand his practice as “Alexis Dornier Makings,” emphasising a collective creative spirit within the team and expanding into product design, industrial design, and art. This new chapter reflects his dedication to craftsmanship and his continued architectural evolution.
